Transport Delays into Western Australia

Flooding closes rail track between SA and WA.

We regret to inform you that due to recent severe weather conditions in Rawlinna WA, the East to West Rail network remains closed because of flooding that occurred on March 10th. Unfortunately, Pacific National anticipates that services will be suspended until at least Saturday, March 23rd.

The flooding has disrupted approximately 120km of track, affecting 16 sites across, with some parts submerged under more than a metre of water. Pacific National are carefully monitoring the situation and will provide an update to us as soon as possible.
As a result of this closure, vehicle movements from east to west are expected to experience an additional 3 to 4 weeks on top of current transit times. Equally, services from west to east are impacted with an anticipated two-week delay.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and value your patience during this time. Please rest assured that we are making every effort to keep you informed of any developments.

Thank you for your support and understanding.
